Ah Meng

Ah Meng the orang utan has recently died at the Singapore Zoo. At the age 48, she was pretty old for an orang utan. Orang utans are an endangered species. Their natural habitats are being destroyed. It would be good if you are aware of the plight of the orang utans. It wouldn't be nice if one of animals closest to humans would be gone in the near future. Ah Meng was very famous and I hope she made an impact in us all.

Global Warming

Global Warming is a serious threat to everything on this planet now. We have ideas to stop it but is it too late? The climate has changed. Many animals have become extinct. How long can the planet take it?
There are other ways to get energy & electricity but is it enough? Is it better or worse than the fuels used right now? Many are not aware that the climate has changed. Maybe if they had watched Live earth then maybe.......never mind.
It is important that we know that many things we do harm the Earth. Hopefully with this thought, we can try to avoid doing most of them, I can't expect people to stop all things like watching TV, because even I do some bad things.
The World can be saved if we all do our part in saving it. We all are able to do, its just whether we want to. A very tough question to answer.
But if we do, we would be able to live here longer.

I wonder how the concert Live earth can help the planet. Its just music. It might even make more sound pollution!(just joking). I don't know.

Waste reduction

We dispose too much waste. Even I dispose some but I am trying to cut down the amount I am throwing away. We throw tons of waste away everyday.

We should cut down mainly on these two.

and , And if you don't know what these two materials are, they are plastic and styrofoam. Not all plastics can be recycled and styrofoam can NEVER be recycled. Do our part as I have to do my part! Reduce our waste!

Solomos Island Earthquake

The Earthquake shook the Island until its reef became exposed. Now they are dying. Its so sad. To know one of the only beautiful reef vanish. What is happening to this world?
